The palate is lusciously smooth, with morello cherry, cassis and toasted oak notes lingering on the finish., About this bottleZilzie is a family owned winery in the Murray Darling region of Victoria, southeastern Australia. This fertile area along the Murray river supplies most of Victoria’s wineries with grapes. Indeed, for many years Zilzie grew grapes for others, but in 1999 the Forbes family decided to move into making their own wines. Winemaker Hayden Donohue crafted this rich Shiraz by co fermenting the fruit with a small proportion of Viognier, a white grape that adds a wonderful perfume to the wine. After fermentation, Hayden matured the wine in both French and American oak barrels for extra complexity., Grape Variety 99% Shiraz, 1% Viognier, Country of originAustralia, RegionMurray Darling, More information Bottle size750 ml, Alcohol content14 %, Alcohol units per bottle10.1, Alcohol units per serving1.7, Serving Size125 ml, AllergensSulphites, Stopper typeScrew Cap, Consume Within6 months of purchase, Bottling address Vinpac International Pty Ltd, 773 Stockwell Road Angaston South Australia 5353
