These atmospheric waterlilies are just one of many paintings Monet produced of the waterlilies on his garden at Giverny during his later life. He painted at different times of the day like this painting at sunset and tried to capture the dramatic changing light he saw. The garden is a work of art in itself it was created by Monet who was as keen a gardener as he was an artist and it still draws visitors every year.
