The river runs the length of the 268ha vineyard and is the origin of the shingle based soil. A nose of nettles and grass leads to generous gooseberry flavours with a smoky herbal twist on the palate. The stony terroir gives the wine a subtle gunflint minerality which delivers extra complexity.
