Portugal is the source of some great value, straightforward yet uniquely styled whites, many of which are made from grape varieties seldom found outside of the country. This example comes from the Setúbal Peninsula, a coastal region immediately to the south of Lisbon. A light bodied and easy drinking white wine with moderate acidity providing a gentle texture. Subtly floral on the nose, combining hints of blossom with a core of ripe citrus fruit. A great match for chicken tagine with dried apricots and mild aromatic spices.
