Perfectly clear and viscous in the glass with a nose very intense, yet netural spirit aroma with a hint of toasted grain. On the palate, it has a forceful, dramatic entry with enormous presence and a lingering impression of ethanol. Stoli Blue can be enjoyed in exactly the same way as Stoli Red either neat, with mixers or in cocktails. It is ideal for adding an additional degree of alchohol with a minimal increase in volume. Tasting vodka is different from tasting other alcoholic drinks including wine because we are looking for an absence of flavour in vodka. Vodka is alcohol in its purest form and the less flavour the better. Cheaper vodkas can have a pronounced burn on the back of the throat the finish due to a faster and cheaper filtration. Although vodka should be served well chilled, it should be tasted at room temperature as the cold decreases the aromatic intensity. Even cheap vodka may taste acceptable when served straight from the freezer!
