Ruby red in colour in the rim with lots of dark berry fruit aromas, with traces of tobacco and ripe banana on the palate. Great integration of fruit, tannins and acidity. Full bodied with a lingering aftertaste with ripe tannins. Named after Spiers Cellar Master, Frans K Smit is the culmination of 13 years of patient, devoted observance of prime vineyard performance and quality. 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc, 12% Malbec, 6% Shiraz, 6% Merlot, 6% Pinotage.
