Icelandic born artist Kristjana S Williams inspiration lies heavily with layering nature upon nature and ‘the symmetry in all things living’, which stems from the artist’s childhood in Iceland. This beautiful piece shows ocean currents, tradewinds, vertical action of the sun, principal ocean mail routes and submarine telegraph cables, as well as recreations of Victorian engravings placed in a bespoke round frame. ‘Singapore’ represents Kristjana S Williams’ previous work using collages including maps and well known landmarks and the use of bright and bold colours.
