Handmade by craftsmen in Somerset, these fine pieces of furniture replicate the elegant wing chairs and sofas first used in the early 18th century. The design is still unsurpassed for daylong comfort, and the quality of manufacture and materials are also of a high standard. The fully upholstered high back design, wing sides and traditional rolled arms promote a secure, well supported sitting posture and also cradle the head and neck when napping. The deep seat cushions are made from extra firm orthopaedic foam and are 2 higher than usual. As well as raising the comfort factor, the additional height makes them easier to get in and out of. Also offered is a matching upholstered footstool with the same cabriole legs, plus a hinged lid over the spacious storage compartment included as part of our money saving set.
