At the end of the 18th century, when a Regency hostess really wanted to make an impression, she served pineapple. Exotic, expensive this was more than a fruit it was a definite status symbol. Pineapple motifs started to appear on wallpaper, furniture and as architectural decoration. And this 200 year old association with gracious living was the inspiration for our new pineapple lamp.
