Monarch encompasses the image of a Crown which has been made up of imagery of Stag heads, Crabs, Fish and birds and a mixture of simplistic grey and monochrome colourings which contrast perfectly with the bold and vivid blue back drop and purple Stag head in the centre of the piece. Not Now Nancy's works explore the relation between fragility of nature and outmoded times and the brutality of urban living and combines illustration and modern iconic imagery.
