Andrew Millar works with a range of medias to produce a beautiful collage aesthetic in his contemporary prints. Layering gold and silver leaf over instant film, Millar’s pieces are soft and delicate, suffused with an intangible haunting quality and a vintage feel of times past. In ‘Hidden Shadows’ a woman’s face fills the print, her eyes inky black holes, pricked with tiny white dots, while her face is rendered from soft gold leaf.
