This Nuits Saint Georges Les Damodes is a powerful and elegant wine. Its nose releases a clever mix of crushed red fruits, dried herbs and burnt wood. It is supple on the palate and of great finesse. A little acidic, it contains aromas of liquorice, wood and very ripe fruits. Serve with Beef Bourguignon, Game, Hard Cheeses. The name Les Damodes may come from a female trinity presiding over the good of the earth, or perhaps refers to some druidesses who were established in this area.
