One of two Châteaux owned by Jean Marie Garde the other is Clos Rene, also in Pomerol this 12.4 acre property is planted with principally Merlot,with 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Malbec. Traditional fermentation is the order of the day here, with 25% of the crop going into new barrels in each vintage. Wines are bottled fined but not filtered which preserves all of the substantial plummy Pomerol flavours.
