Cordier's Bourgogne Blanc 'Jean de La Vigne' is entitled to display the Mâcon Villages appellation on the label, but Cordier prefers not to, as this wine is far from the style of normal Mâcon Villages. Much more ripeness and fruit are typical of this producer. Plenty of zesty, citrus fruit here, but with some tropical melon and peach too. Medium bodied with a rounded finish, this is Mâcon wine at its best. With plenty of fresh fruit and a mouth filling finish, this cracking Burgundy has the qualities required to complement seafood dishes.
