The wine is a blend of 92% Shiraz, 6% Mourvedre, 2% Viognier that make it a elegant, vibrant red wine. Born and raised in France, from a Calvados family, Christophe Durand moved to Cape Town in1995. Beginning as a supplier of premium French wine barrels and very much involved in winemaking, it was only a matter of time until he brought together his knowledge and passion for fines wines into creating his own. This wine excellent with tapas, red meat, steaks and hard cheeses. The winemaker's Cuvee Anais Chardonnay 2009 not available was served at the wedding reception of Prince Albert II of Monaco, organised by Alain Ducasse. It was the only non French wine served.
