Skillogalee Gewurztraminers are made in the classic style aromatic and spicy with a crisp finish. Fruit quality was excellent after flavours were able to develop during the final few weeks of the growing season. The wine shows the unmistakable floral, rose petal aromas and flavours of Traminer fruit, sometimes also reminiscent of passion fruit and lychees. The 2011 wine was fermented with light grape solids present, which creates a wine with silky texture and complexity. It has strength of character without being oily or overpowering, making it an incredibly versatile food matching wine top of the list should be lightly spiced, contemporary Asian food or flavoursome white meat dishes.
