Hurry! When it's gone, it's gone wigig. The name of this estate is derived from 'Agua Viva', the Roman thermal baths that once stood on this site, whose underground water supply today quenches the otherwise arid soils. The modern winery was developed by Phillipe Dourthe but is now owned by Gérard Bertrand. A classically structured southern French red, offering an array of red and black fruit aromas, nuanced with notes of cocoa, rose petal and savoury pepper. A robust tannic backbone provides a long finish. Partner with duck confit, braised lamb shank, or some succulent venison sausages.
