Family run, Torresilo is a powerful old vine Tempranillo from Ribera's finest vineyard plots, from cult producer Cillar de Silos. The superb 2011 vintage is renowned for huge power. Fantastically rich, ripe dark berries with damson plums with subtle notes of spice, nutmeg and mocha. Stunning balance and ripe tannins give a long, smooth, finish. A real gutsy wine that would love being paired with roast suckling pig, braised lamb shank or venison.
