The Five Soldiers are a group of pine trees that stand at the top of a slope, clearly marking this vineyard's location. This wine is Rustenberg's homage to fine white Burgundy, with cellaring potential to match. Grapes are whole bunch pressed direct to Burgundian barrels where they ferment and mature for 15 months. A superbly structured and powerful Chardonnay, drinking now or for another 10 years or more.
