Psalm Quare fremuerunt gentes is a silkscreen with glaze signed limited edition print by YBA Damien Hirst. The Psalm prints explore the recurring themes of beauty and death the celestial and the earthly. The butterflies wings are arranged in a mandala like circular pattern which also resembles the exquisite stained glass of Europe’s great cathedrals. The butterflies are drawn from Hirst’s larger gloss paintings. Concentric rings of yellow red blue green and blue butterflies encircle a single yellow butterfly all on a beep blue background.
