Psalm Miserere mei Deus terra is a silkscreen with glaze signed limited edition print by contemporary Damien Hirst. The Psalm prints explore the recurring themes of beauty and death the celestial and the earthly. The butterflies wings are arranged in a mandala like circular pattern which also resembles the exquisite stained glass of Europe’s great cathedrals. The butterflies are drawn from Hirst’s larger gloss paintings. A deep blue square is studded with an array of tropical butterfly wings all mainly dark but highlighted with shimmering greens blues reds yellows and oranges.
