The 'frizzante' style of Prosecco offers a more delicately sparkling alternative to its 'spumante' sibling, making for an easy drinking, food friendly style. It is made using the same methods except for a shorter secondary fermentation for bottling at a lower pressure. Gently off dry, the flavours of white apple, pear and melon really come to the fore, while the soft effervescence provides a light mouth feel and cleanses the palate. Enjoy well chilled alongside flavoursome antipasti, mezze or dressed salads.
