The work of Louise McNaught takes its inspiration form the natural world raising the status of animals and creatures to the majestic and sublime, McNaught creates bold images, using eye catching colour and compositional techniques. ‘Pink Tiger’ depicts a beautiful black and white tiger, drawn by McNaught in exquisite and careful detail. The print has been filled in with a block of hot pink colour, covering most of the tiger’s body in a nod to Pop Art aesthetics. McNaught employs her signature ‘bleed’ motif, with soft, thin lines of grey and white paint running down the print to the tiger’s stripes, producing a gentle sense of dynamism and flow.
