The work of Louise McNaught draws its inspiration form the natural world raising the status of animals and creatures to the majestic and sublime, McNaught creates bold images, using striking colour and compositional techniques. ‘Pandaemonium’ revels in a pop art inspired aesthetic against a bright, blocky, yellow background, a large, black and white panda dominates the print. Black streaks of paint skim the top, lending a sense of movement and dynamism. The print is a triumph of colour and composition but it also reveals a pertinent reminder of our delicate relationship with nature.
