In the artists own words he describes ‘My Heart is Yours Forever’ as depicting ‘a heart being presented to Anubis’ and refers to Egyptian ‘Book of the Dead’ that ‘the heart was weighed to determine one's entry to paradise. At this point, there was a risk that the deceased's heart would bear witness, owning up to sins committed in life’. This gorgeous piece adopts Gjoen’s signature style using intricate flowers encompassing a heart against a deep green, khaki colour backdrop. This piece is signed and numbered by the artist.
