High tech microfibre has become popular for bedlinen as it offers so many benefits, not least of which are its easycare properties. It washes efficiently at low temperature, drip dries quickly and needs little or no ironing. The polyester microfibre yarns are microscopically fine, one hundredth the diameter of a human hair. As a result it is incredibly soft to the touch and can be woven very tightly, which is one reason it stays crease free.
