‘Lion’ is a strong, and thought provoking piece from Dave White’s Critical Collection. The inspiration for the piece came from the famous African Lion ‘Cecil’ who was hunted and killed by American Dentist Walter Palmer and subsequently caused outrage worldwide. Layering gorgeous browns and purples over the more traditional yellows and oranges creates an incredible depth to the coat of this proud lion. Printed on Somerset Velvet paper, this complete silkscreen is from an edition of 50 and is signed and numbered by the artist.
