Claude Monet painted the same Japanese bridge and waterlilies in his garden at Giverny at different times of the year and different times of the day trying to capture the varying light and colours of each unique occasion. The garden is a work of art in itself it was created by Monet who was as keen a gardener as he was an artist and it still draws visitors every year.
