A pretty purplish crimson colour. The nose speaks of bright red fruits raspberry and cherry, then violet florals, dried meadow herbs and hints of cherry pip, oak and botanical spices. The palate is attractively brambly with a core of red fruits, fresh acidity, fine, graphite like tannins and a savoury edge which balances the fruit. This wine is approachable when young yet shows potential for further improvement with careful cellaring. Excellent with roast chicken or lamb.
