With red volcanic clay, and calcareous soil, this vineyard has sun exposure of EW, NS with altitude of 80m, 100m, and 120m. The wine is handpicked during the last week of March and first week of April, has cold pre fermentation maceration then 100% barrel fermentation in new French oak with wild yeast for 14 months. This wine is unfiltered. This wine is moderately dark in colour with a bright red rim bodes well for all ageing. Dark fruit aromas with some mulberry and black cherry tones in the main picture framed solidly by an envelope of black truffles and forest floor. The palate shows dark fruits and a rich textural, almost mocha, flavour enveloping a core of firm acid and solid, but broad and spreading tannins. Enjoy with fish, white meats, wild, pastas, salads and risotto.
