Some vehicle models require a top tether fitted to the Duo Plus Seat for appoved installation. The top tether is a belt at the top of the child seat that attaches to anchorage points in the car. It limits the rotational movement of the child seat, reducing the child's forward movement in the event of an accident. This is part of Britax's latest safety improvement, the Advanced ISOFIX system, which has this third anchorage point for further security. All of Britax's safety technologies work together as part of 360 degree protection to minimise injury to the child in a crash.
