Fragrant Shrub ideal for the border or hedgingBerberis or more commonly known as Barberry, are Spring flowering Shrubs which require a well drained sunny position and should be cut back each year in Autumn or Winter, after the appearance of it's red berries, to keep it looking it's best.Berberis Harlequin is a compact, deciduous Shrub which is mainly grown for its foliage, for use as a screening or hedging plant. In the Spring, it produces fragrant, pale yellow blooms which contrast perfectly against the deep purple leaves which are marbled with pink white shades. This is followed by dark red berries in late Summer.
