To create this dynamic piece Jackson Pollock dripped the black enamel paint on to a wet white painted canvas so that the paint bled into the chalky white ground. It is one of his poured paintings which he created between 1947 and 1950. This abstract black and white work is a great example of Pollock’s abstract expressionist work.
