A rich spicy nose of Christmas cake, blueberry and cinnamon. The palate is full and savoury with a hint of homemade blackberry jam and pepper. Shiraz is a great tradition in McLaren Vale, dating back to the 1850's. Lloyd Reserve Shiraz is produced from a single vineyard at Coriole that was planted in 1919 and the first wine released in 1989. The soil and roots are extremely deep and generally no irrigation is required. The wine is matured in French oak for approximately 18 months and then receives 12 months in bottle before release. Lloyd Reserve Shiraz is one of Langton's classified wines of Australia. A traditional yet youthful McLaren Vale Shiraz that has the depth, balance and structure to age for many years to come.
