Yellow gold amber colour and clear. Complex and strong nose, giving floral notes with a characteristic perfume of plums. Very good balance in the mouth, endowed with a suave vanilla taste with notes of crystallised fruits that is very rare in a VSOP. Silver medal at the 2004 International Spirit Challenge in London, the VSOP Baron de Sigognac is a Bas Armagnac grown on sandy soils in the heart of the Bas Armagnac where one finds Domaine de Bordeneuve. Spending six months in new oak followed by a seven year period in old oak, it has noble flavours and is very pleasant on the palate. It is as an after dinner drink that the Baron de Sigognac presents its full range of aromas. The Baron de Sigognac VSOP is a Bas Armagnac older than 7 years, which is why it is sometimes sold under the label 7 years old.

Very supple on the nose, dominated by impressions of vanilla and reminiscent of brioche. Quite velvety on the palate at the start followed by flavours of violets. A gentle but long finish evokes liquorice, cinnamon and dried fruit.
